I Will Protect You Always

Prologue

Egypt; 5 thousand years ago…

“Yugi!!!  Get away from him, Bakura!  You want me!” Pharaoh Atemu shouted scared when he saw his secret love in the tomb robber’s dangerous hands.

“Atemu!  Help me!” his love shouted very scared.

The tomb robber laughed an evil laugh.  “Really Pharaoh?” he said with a smirk “I’ll deal with you personally later.  Now I’m dealing with your feelings!”  Suddenly he took a very sharp and long dagger in his hand and to Atemu’s shock; he stabbed Yugi hard into the back, making Yugi shout severe pain.

“Yugi!!!” Atemu shouted in fright as he ran over as Bakura remove the dagger.  He caught Yugi as he slump to the ground, slowly losing blood.  “Yugi…” Atemu started as he was about to cry.

“M-My Atemu…” Yugi said very weakly as he cough weakly up blood; weakly reaching to Atemu’s cheek.

Tears soon fell from those crimson eyes.  “Yugi…  Please don’t leave me…  Hold on until I get you to a Healer…”

More blood was coughed up.  “I-I’m….s-sorry…m-my Pharaoh…”  Soon he died in Atemu’s arms.

“Y-Yugi…  YUGI!!!” Atemu cried in great pain and grief.
